The more you offer, the more Assassins you may have out working on your behalf. If your target cheats Fate (survives) for twenty days from your posting of the Kill Order, you'll get half your money back.

Quests are a useful source of experience and gold. You can talk to the publican (bartender) and engage in either an Easy, Medium or Hard quest. The length of the assignment depends on the level of difficulty. Tasks range from killing specific creatures to talking to other NPC characters.

Expeditions

You don't have to start a quest to go on an expedition. There are several areas which you can send your character to. The length of the expedition can be selected as 10 minutes, 20 minutes or even 30 minutes. The longer the quest, the more likely you'll get a better reward. Centurions can go on the respective expeditions for half the allocated time span than regular players.

Dungeon

Since the v0.4 version, players can even explore in the dungeons! There are totally 9 dungeons in the game, 4 in town, and 5 in wild. And you can find the second NPC called "Guard" in the Tavern who gives out the quests need to be down in dungeons.

The players will have the option to equip their gladiator two times. One time is only for dungeons, the other is for fights against other players or expeditions. So the player won't lose a battle with another player when he equipped his gladiator for healing at dungeons.

After fighting against all NPCs at the dungeon (and winning), they'll have the chance to fight against final boss.

In the beginning, Quillas, Father of Heaven, awoke from chaos to find that the universe was quite, vast and tedious. He then created thousands of unique worlds and separated them with boundaries. He plucked hair from his body and enchanted them with part of his power to make them gods with different capabilities. These gods were then sent to the different worlds as guardians and builders in his stead. None of these worlds was ever close to perfect and stable. The rise and fall of good and evil forces was breeding conflicts and crises. But Father of Heaven decided this should be the way, and after the order was initially established, he fell into long sleep again.

Our story unfolds in one of these worlds, Stilland, a magic world accommodating various creatures, including humans, elves, dwarves, giants, orcs, dragons, animals and evil forces with tremendous power. There was a short period of quiet time after the worlds came into being, when all forms of life lived in peace and harmony. However, as powers and desires swelled, struggles and conflicts, declared or not, came one after another, numerous wars bestowed different destinies upon the races. Some races vanished, while others rose; some allied with each other, while others continued endless fights; some dwelled atop high mountains, while others lurked into abyss seas...

Life breeds desire, and desire breeds strife.

War has never ceased, neither could it be.

During the past wars, an alliance between humans, wood elves and ravine dwarves, known as Phio Alliance, was gradually formed. Humans living in the world of Stilland established four kingdoms, Glance, Disarn, Weirgburg and Stalla. There are also human factions belonging to none of these kingdoms, like the bandits living on Pandar Prairie, who called themselves Pandar Hawk, and a zealot group known as Purple Twilight.

In the year 148 before Stilland Calendar, the chaotic orcs successfully persuaded the darkcliff dwarves and the gray elves into a sudden strike against the human kingdoms, Glance and Stalla. In consideration of self defense, Disarn and Weirgburg did not dispatch instant reinforcements, which almost led to the fall of their own kingdoms. The horrifying war lasted more than 100 years. In the end, with the help of wood elves and ravine dwarves, the humans drove the evil forces completely out of their territory. Witnessed by wood elves and ravine dwarves, the kings of the four survived kingdoms signed a treaty of alliance on Mount Phio, a holy mountain in the south of Stilland. The treaty stipulates that the kingdoms must form an alliance at war time and offer resource assistance mutually whether at war or in peace time. It also stipulates that upon the age of 14, princes must make a study tour to other kingdoms to promote mutual understanding and friendship.

The peak where the treaty was signed came to be known as Four King Peak afterwards. On that day, the four human kings, together with Iona, Queen of Wood Elves, and Kruel Hammer, King of Ravine Dwarves, blessed the land to celebrate the signing of the treaty. Therefore, the peak was recognized as a holy place by the Phio Alliance, and stationed by senior priests and elite soldiers all year round. In memory of this great moment, the human kingdoms which adopted different calendars in the past, decided to make this year the first year of the Stilland Calendar. The other races, although insisting on their own calendars, gradually came to recognize the universal status of the Stilland Calendar. Eventually, they began to use both the Stilland Calendar and their own to communicate with each other and record history.

After that, all races ushered in an era of peace and rest. There has been no major war since then, despite some minor conflicts.

As ages came and went, history sank into legend.

In the Stilland year of 656, Scott the Redneck, the ambitious young ruler of the chaotic orcs, backed up by the substantial properties inherited from his predecessors, plotted evil against the Phio Alliance for its vast territories, enormous wealth and powerful magic. He has even deployed forces in many places and started spy missions and tentative attacks against the alliance.

Meanwhile, the dark dragons took frequent actions against the humans. Evil and cruel, fark dragons are a mutated brood of dragons born after the ancient war between the dragons, known as Dragon’s Cry. They have not only increased the number of their offspring, but also captured some slaves from the other races.

Apart from that, another force, more ancient and evil, is looming in the unseen corners.

While in the human realm, although people seemingly lead a peaceful life, abnormal and strange things often take place here and there. The relentless undercurrents seem to foretell the storms drawing near.

Not long ago, the Kingdom of Disarn has just lost their wise king, who died of old age. The kingdom now is ruled by the prince regent, since the prince is yet too young.

The queen of the Kingdom of Stalla died of a strange disease on her travelling tour, and the beautiful queen newly married to the king, is seemingly in harmony but actually at variance with the princes and princesses.

The eldest prince of Glance, while on his study tour to the other kingdoms following the old tradition, oddly disappeared when travelling across Pandar Prairie from Disarn to Weirgburg. The king of Glance, shocked and furious, offered a generous reward for finding the prince. Disarn and Weirgburg, deeply embarrassed, are doing their utmost to offer their best assistance in the search.

Now, chance has come to you, a young adventurer growing up in Willshire situated in the countryside of Glance, who dreams of becoming a hero every day and night.

Grand Prix Racing Online, usually shortened to "GPRO", is a
massively-multiplayer online Grand Prix management simulator.
It was created by a group of dedicated players of F1 manager web games. The game is loosely based on past gaming experiences, incorporating the concepts, knowledge and experience of previous (classic) F1 manager games.

GPRO can be played without cost for the individual user, since it is free to sign up and get a team. There is also a possibility to pay a supporter fee for extra features. These features do not give an advantage in gameplay, but are merely some extras, such as more car liveries or race commentary.

The Gameplay:
Each new user will start in one of the Rookie groups, the lowest level in the game. He will receive $30,000,000, a standard (and pretty bad) driver, and a level 1 car if he joins before the first race of the season, otherwise his money will be reduced depending on the number of races left in the season.

The object of the game is to win races and achieve promotion to a higher level. This can be achieved with a good driver or a good car, but usually a well-balanced combination is required. Race strategy and car setups are also an important part of the game.

The points system is the official Formula 1 point scoring system where managers in positions 1-8 get 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points respectively.

Before each race, a manager can update his car and do testing, if he likes. To participate in a race, he must take part in the qualifying session. Before qualifying, he can set up his car during an 8-lap practice session. After the qualifying, he can confirm the strategy for the race. Different tyre compounds and fuel loads play a big part in race tactics.

After each race, the participating managers are paid prize money according to their finishing and qualifying position. Sponsor money will also be paid, if a manager has any sponsorship deals confirmed. Driver and staff salaries are paid after each race, but the biggest expense comes from replacing worn car parts with new ones.

Managing your economy is one of the most challenging parts of GPRO and new managers can find it very hard to stay on positive balance at first.

Try to be a successful team manager like Dennis, Todt or Briatore. Manage your grand prix team to success by building good cars, developing good race strategies, hiring the right drivers and staff and planning for the future. But all must be done within the limits of your financial and worktime budget and with the fierce competition breathing down your neck!

Introduction:

The Star Wars Combine is a game set in the Star Wars Universe. The game has been online since 1998 and although it is technically a browser game, it sees itself rather as an MMORPG. It is programmed and run entirely by volunteers, so playing is free. There are no monthly charges and no premium features that are restricted to players who register a paid account.

The game is player driven, all roles - from the emperor or commander of the Rebel Alliance to the fighter pilots - are open for player characters. Combat is not implemented yet, but the player driven economy offers many options to mine, trade or build cities, facilities and stations.

Here I will discuss several tips that will help you choose a Game that suites you best or at least get you pointed in the right direction whether it be online or via a system.

Step 1: You must have a basic understanding of the different genre's so let's take a look.

Fist Person Shooter - First person shooters, commonly known as FPS games, demand a moderate-level of concentration while playing. These games can be easily played by both hardcore and casual gamers, and are a popular type of game.

FPS games nearly always feature only a first-person perspective. Usually these types of games use projectile weapons, namely guns, however some have been known to use swords, knives, and bows in their gameplay.

Role Playing Games(RPG'S) -Technically, all games are roleplaying games(RPGs), which require you to play a role, however most games deemed as 'true' roleplaying games contain a system of levels and statistics, as well as missions in the form of quests. These games require a moderate to high level of concentration while playing, and are designed for hardcore gamers.

These games can feature either first-person or third-person perspective, and many times contain a system of fighting, usually along with a wide array of weapons, a variety of tasks or quests to complete to advance in the storyline, the ability to meet allies, and/or the ability to conjure spells in their gameplay. (My favorite type of game, hehe)

Platformers - Many platforming games are old and considered classics. However, there are newer platforming games out in stores, so if you want a taste of the old times or you want to walk right into the action, platforming games are for you. Generally played by casual gamers, it isn't hard to be a hardcore gamer playing platforming games.

Platforming games can be either 2D or 3D and are generally packed with action/adventure. Platforming games are most commonly the former, and feature a side scrolling view. These games commonly include enemies with jumping as the main attack to defeat them, as well as bosses similar to the enemies.

Puzzle - Puzzles were made way back when they didn't have video games. Puzzle games keep these creations 'alive', in a sense. These games usually focus on one main puzzle, although there are some out there that focus on many different puzzle types, or many similar puzzles. Some brain training games also include puzzles.

Puzzle games are usually 2D, and are usually played by the casual gamer. Puzzles have also been incoporated into many other genres of games, and playing puzzle games can help you become better at other types of games.

Online Games - Online games are a dime a dozen. Many of them are 2D, although you can find some that are 3D. There are many sites which house popular online games, two of which being Online games can be very addicting, and are many times used as a stress reliever.

Online gamers are usually casual, although some are hardcore. Many online games appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers due to the fact that many fangames can be found online, which appeal to the casual gamer more than the actual games do.

Massivly - multiplayer online games are usually refered to as MMOGs. MMOGs are very popular, and always include some sort of multiplayer interaction. MMOGs can either be text-based or graphical, with most of the graphical MMOGs being 3D.

MMORPG's - Massivly-multiplayer online games can be multiplayer versions of many game types, such as first-person shooters(MMOFPS) and roleplaying games(MMORPG). Depending on the type of multiplayer game you choose, it can be harder or easier to play as simply a casual gamer.

Now that you have a general idea of the different types of genre's let's move on.

Step: 2 Now you're ready to actually choose your game that best suites you. We'll discuss 5 ways that will help you to do so.

1. The first thing you need, is to determinate what scenario you want to simulate? In the market there are cool games for simulate cities, racing, fighting, business, strategy, shooting, and much more. Associate your preferences with your hobbies, for example, if you like cars then you can choose racing.

2. When you have chosen the scenario to simulate, the next step is to find the title of the game that simulate what you want. To do this only you need to go to a web browser like, Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc and browse for your game. Example: if you choose cars for simulate you can type in your favorite browser words like: "simulation games cars", "car racing games". To choose the words to put in the browser(in this case cars or racing) and the word "game" or "games" to specify your search and have good results.

3. When you have searched some game titles, you now can make searches looking specifically for the title of the game that you want. This will help you to find some useful information about the gameplay of the game, the difficulty, the graphics, and other useful information. For example: if you searched for cars or racing you found some titles like: "Midnight Club" or "Need for Speed".

4. At this time, if you followed this previous steps, now you have some information about the games that is relative to the things that you want to simulate.

Now is time to select the best game for you. Follow these useful tips:

- Select the grade of difficulty do you want to play, this is so important because if you are a newbie in that game and the game that you want its a sequel (or a expansion pack) of a previous one, yo will probably buy the first one and later the sequel. Another thing, is to check the rating of the game to ensure that it's suited for your age.

- Select what do you prefer: graphics, gameplay or both, this is important to choose the right game because some games have a great gameplay but have archaic graphics. If you are only looking for challenges you probably like this ones. On the other hand some games have a lot of cool graphics and amazing scenarios but the gameplay its so boring or not too challenging. If you look, like me, for games that include amazing graphics and a challenging gameplay you need to read and search a lot but this search will give you excellent results and fantastic game experience.

- Another important thing that you need to think about is the system requirements of your selected game(s) because you won't buy a game that crash your computer or not run properly in your PC. You can solve this by comparing the system requirements of the game with your system hardware and software. I recommend that you have a 30% more of the minimal requirements of the game to have a good performance of the game, and don´t run slow.

-To get more confidence for your selected game, read articles of the game, opinions for gameplayers, forums or blogs, or other sources that can help you to know the experience playing this game, the difficulty, etc. You can see the charts and the top games list, because if your game is well ranked on that lists, its almost 100% of satisfaction guaranteed. =D

- Some people think that another important fact in the selection of the game, is the money. Just because the game cost the most doesn't necessarily mean that it's the best. The cheaper or free games can be just as good if not better than the ones that cost or more or require installation or download.

5.The final step is go to buy your selected game! if you followed all the previously tips and steps you will have a preferred game that you want to buy. You can purchase it at the official game shop or in a supermarket or download/install it wherever it's available.

When we say goodbye to 2008, many players are making their lists this time of year. I've been posting some news about browser based games recently, so I thought why not share what I most anticipated with you. Which game are you most looking forward to in 2009? No. 5 Eldevin

Eldevin is the title of the latest 3D massively multiplayer roleplaying game under development by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.

Current development progress of the game now includes world building, item design, and finalisation of various aspects of the code. With that said we are still keeping a lot of features under wraps for the time being. The game will play through an overhead 3rd person perspective of your character in a real time 3D world embedded in your web browser using ChopLib's unique 3D Engine technology.

On 17th December, Hunted Cow Studios released the Eldevin Prologue video which explains a little of the backstory behind Eldevin.
