5 Games that I am Looking Forward To in 2009
When we say goodbye to 2008, many players are making their lists this time of year. I've been posting some news about browser based games recently, so I thought why not share what I most anticipated with you. Which game are you most looking forward to in 2009? Check the list and which one are you most excited about?
No. 5 Eldevin
Eldevin is the title of the latest 3D massively multiplayer roleplaying game under development by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.
Current development progress of the game now includes world building, item design, and finalisation of various aspects of the code. With that said we are still keeping a lot of features under wraps for the time being. The game will play through an overhead 3rd person perspective of your character in a real time 3D world embedded in your web browser using ChopLib's unique 3D Engine technology.
On 17th December, Hunted Cow Studios released the Eldevin Prologue video which explains a little of the backstory behind Eldevin.
With vast worlds to explore and creatures to kill, Eldevin will be an experience on a massive scale. Your character will be equipped with a stunning array of weapons, skills and magical abilities to help you in your journey through quests across the vast plains, dungeons and mysterious lands to come.

No. 4 Coobico
Coobico, is a new, free-to-play flash-based strategy MMO which developed by Linking People, a Hong Kong-based developer founded by a trio of German Web developers.
As a citizen of Coobico you can build your own home and your neighbourhood and even establish completely new cities. Explore around town to uncover rare items and the secrets of Dr. Qubus' ancient ruins, or just hang out and chat with your buddies. Coobico runs in your browser, no retail box to purchase and no cumbersome client software to download and install.
This is a selection of screenshots of Coobico's current alpha-version, depicting typical city-, outdoor-, and dungeon-locations encountered on Qubus' Island.

No. 2 Earth Eternal
Earth Eternal is a just-announced 3D MMORPG in development by veteran virtual world developers Iron Realms Entertainment.
The world of Earth Eternal is a kind of fantasy Earth. It incorporates real-world elements that range from Egyptian Gods to Arthurian legend to the saga of Beowulf. In other words, while Earth Eternal is loosely based on themes from the real-world, virtually everything has our own spin on it. For instance, in EE, most of the Greek and Norse Gods were slain by extra-dimensional Sphinxes acting in concert with Anubis, Egyptian God of Death.
EE's gameplay is classic in the best sense of the word. If you've played Dungeons & Dragons, or Runescape, or World of Warcraft, you will find it very familiar, though with some of our own unique twists.
